This is a rare opportunity to own Kenneth Jay Lane's version of the famous multi-strand pearl necklace worn by Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly character in the iconic film, Breakfast at Tiffany's. It was originally commissioned in 2006 by Glenda Bailey, the edition-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar, to celebrate her 5th anniversary with the magazine, and was modelled by Natalie Portman on the front cover of the November edition of the magazine.
This heavy-weight necklace is a 5-strand faux pearl necklace - made up of large 10mm hand-knotted cream glass simulated pearls. The signed centrepiece clasp is a beautiful 2.5" (approx 5.5 cm) electroplated silver rose/peony flower clasp encrusted with dozens of sparkly clear Swarovski crystals - the photos do not capture the brilliance of the crystals. The shortest strand measures approx 17.5" in length (the other strands graduate in length). It drapes beautifully and looks so elegant on! It would make a tremendous bridal or evening accessory.
